Game Design Competition 2

2008's first GDC will be wrapping up on the 29th, with voting starting shortly thereafter. This time around the list of entrants was quite impressive, with numerous notable game developers including last year's winner GZ and the recently-interviewed Perfect Run team participating. Be sure to stop by our Game & Demo forum in the coming days to check out the entries and cast your votes!

BALMUNG CYCLE PART I: The Messenger and the Heretic

 With an intriguing story centered around the Norse gods warring and scheming against one another, beautiful graphics, and two exciting battle systems, Balmung Cycle looks to be the community's next big RPG epic!

 

BLACKMOON PROPHECY

 Despite the negative connotations that typically come with the word "fangame", URPC's Blackmoon Prophecy has always been very well received in the community. Now the project is back in production, so expect more from this RPG Maker classic this Spring!





CELL CHAMBER

 Here's something for all the RMXP enthusiasts out there! Cell Chamber features a mysterious and intriguing story set amongst dark and gloomy locales adorned with beautiful dynamic lighting effects. Oh, and it's crammed full of puzzles, side quests, secrets, and an original soundtrack!





SUPER BANANA NABABA

 This is the highly-anticipated remake of the original Banana Nababa: a boss arena game in which you play as a small cat-like creature. If that's not enough to get you excited, check out these awesome screenshots!
 





Map Design Event

The popular Map Design topic is back! It's a regular event in which the community can refine their map and level design skills as a group, offering criticisms and advice to one another. If you're looking for serious help with your map designing or just want to show off your skills, be sure to contribute a map or two here!
