Basically, this is just an overview of good topics on the forums in the past week for you to check out, maybe get a kick out of them! Remember though there's no substitute for good forum browsing...!

Topic of the Week

Game and Demo idea (fuck bridging dat gap) Basically let me cut through the bullshit. The fact of the matter is, the current situation at Game and Demo is somewhat dire. Game and Demo members of course don't believe this, but it's painfully obvious to outsiders there's a defacto bias against creative, non-RM, non-RPG games. Forum hierarchies and standards are nothing new (try being a rightwing Ron Paul racist on GW lately) but when it comes to gamemaking, this is somewhat disturbing. As a result, the administration and the moderation have come up with a way to satisfy both crowds.


This will divvy up the forum much better and allow for independent games to avoid the RM bias while the RM crowd has its own forum to support it. Many people did not realize this and there are about fifty freaking topics that addressed it. I'll link to a few and ignore others, but two things: 1. this is going to happen because it's a damn fine idea and 2. it's great for everyone. The only people getting really offended by it are folk who are angry that people believe there is a bias and can clearly demonstrate it.

School Prayer- Theres no god theres just a delmon......there are some interesting points being made here about the moment of silence issue.

WTH is so great about "A Blurred Line"?- who does this punk think he is? it's abl buddy.

[Full Game] A Home Far Away- this game is really good and made by lit mod Strangeluv. its more of a story game, rather than a battle game, so if you like a good story, you should check it out!

Theseus and the maze.- Bloodbath says this game rules, and it looks pretty good as well. Amazingly good. And I love speedrunning...

[DEMO]Dead Head. Bloodbath sai-WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON IN THESE SCREENS. Damn this looks really simple graphically, but the gameplay sounds awesome.

Grand Theft Auto IV!- the game finally came out, and the topic is buzzing. Talk about how much you enjoy killing those whores and how much you hate Jack Thompson here.

Earthbound is rated E for Everyone.- Mother 3 still isn't coming.

[SPLATTERHOUSE INFOS]Retro Revivals...because if Hollywood does it, so should the VG Industry.- Splatterhouse was an old game, and boy did it rule. Only a matter of time before the videogame industry ran out of ideas and started remaking games. I can't wait til they remake Anachronox!
