The Rules:
RpgMaker 2003.
No confines on what the game plot/theme will be like.
NO DBS/Random Battles. Figure out a way to put gameplay without using the DBS.
Around two weeks to make your part. When you finish send it to DarkPriest.

Alright then, I'll start on monday. I'll try to give you guys a non-generic setting but still make it so that it's easy to expand in many directions.

As with CG3, I'll make a map for chapter authors to put comments about their chapters. I'll also edit the default menu to only include ITEM/SAVE/EXIT for now. If someone needs more options, they can include them later.

No DBS? Oh Christ, I do not know what to do (unless one of you brilliant scholars before me set up some system I can steal and elaborate on)!

You can make it just an interactive story of sorts. I always find I play the Chain Game for the story aynway, the battles just distract and take away (IMO).

i have already prepared for that by asking the magi to continue straight from my chapter totally ignoring gelatinous cube's chapter

just kidding, my characters are all omnipotent super beings. killing them would be pretty GAME BREAKING and silly too!

The nice thing about doing a single chapter for the game without using the DBS is that if you do attempt a cbs, you just have to control the encounters in your single chapter, you don't have to make a flexible system to support dozens of monsters and skills. You could fully control every encounter.

Well I'll be damned, I wanted to DO something with the battles but errr whatever... I went to New York for a week to meet with my father for thanksgiving so my plans for the battle totally flipped. If anyone wants help with setting up a battle system or anything of the sort for their chapter, give me a call, I'll help you out. Add me on MSN, [email protected]. Looking forward to it!
...and lol dunno if I'll be alive by March 10, if anyone on an earlier spot wants to switch I'll greatly appreciate it.

You can add a battle system in your part if it's appropiate. If someone wants to switch with you, I'm game. Might want to message some guys.
